Escape rooms originated from a video game called "Crimson Room" created by Toshimitsu Takagi in 2004. It was later in 2007 transformed into a live experience by the Japanese company SCRAP; its founder Takao Kato felt that the players should be fully immersed in the game.

Escape rooms are a great way to challenge the brain and learn the benefits and skills of great communication, critical and creative thinking, and teamwork.

They can be enjoyed by all ages and even be a great challenge as a solo adventure!

It is very unlikely that most people will experience any claustrophobia or confinement. Each of our rooms is over 250 square feet (larger than the size of an average bedroom) In addition, any player can immediately exit if they feel uncomfortable by pressing the panic button and opening the door.

For safety reasons, the doors to each of our escape rooms are not really “locked”. Electronic magnets hold the door in place, which opens when players complete the game. You can push the emergency panic button which will immediately release the door, however, this will immediately end the game. In the event of a power outage, all doors will automatically open on their own.

Our Escape rooms have several themes and props to set a mood, but they are not “haunted houses” intended to scare players. You may hear an occasional DROP or POP as part of the experience which may startle some players. Our rooms are more fun and engaging than scary.

Escape rooms require brain power, not physical strength. At most, the activity will involve some squatting down to look under an object or to get a closer look at something. They require no climbing or heavy lifting.

Yes. Our Game Master will provide hints as needed and/or upon request. The most important part of our experience is that you have fun, not get stuck on one puzzle which may frustrate you and cause a significant delay. If you are a group of escape room enthusiasts, you may also request NOT to get any clues.

Escape rooms are challenging, so many players get close, but do not escape in time. At the end of the allotted time, the room will be unlocked, and the solution explained. Please keep the solutions confidential so you do not spoil the experience for future players.

In addition to the one hour allotted time to play the game itself, players should expect a 5 to 10 minute briefing upon arrival to go over the rules of the game. Players may also stay for a short time after the game for team photos.

We allow your cellphone in the room as long as you don’t use it. We only permit players to take photographs/videos in the waiting room, not within the escape room itself. This policy ensures that the puzzles remain a mystery for future guests. We strictly prohibit the use of any recording devices in the rooms. We also have some small storage lockers in the lobby if you want to leave your phone, keys or other small personal items.

We do not allow food or drinks in the escape room. In addition, we recommend that the group does not consume alcoholic beverages prior to taking part in an escape room, as players will need all available brain power. We reserve the right to refuse entry to players who appear intoxicated.
